Guitar Man (yellow)
acrylic on canvas
36” x 24”
2009
This is an image of a guitarist I have worked into more than one painting. I wanted to replicate the multiple silk-screened imagery of Andy Warhol, but I wanted to "paint" the multiples instead of just screening or printing them.
This painting, along with Guitar Man (red) and Guitar Man (blue), was made by painting a washed-out version of a photograph and "colored" by running wet acrylic paints over each painting.
These paintings look fantastic hung next to each other as a set of three, taking up quite a bit of wall.
Always free shipping in the U.S.
