Can I give your wedding illustration services as a gift to the wedding couple?
Yes. Yes, you can.
Can we choose a style of illustration?
Yes. I work in many styles, from loose on-the-spot sketches to fully finished magazine-like digital illustrations. I meet with each couple before your wedding to discuss exactly what you are looking for. All my wedding illustrations are done on an iPad.
Can you illustrate specific scenes or events from our wedding day?
As long as I’m able to photograph it, I should be able to illustrate most any part of your wedding or event.
Do you illustrate events other than weddings?
Yes. I can sketch and illustrate whatever event you have coming up — bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate retreats, conferences, key note addresses, family reunions, etc.
Do we get JUST illustrations?
No. You get a ton of physical art. You get a minimum of 10 polished digital illustrations and many variants of each illustration, a base package of 125 thank you cards, 10 artist-signed, limited edition fine art prints in sizes up to 24” x 36,” and one artist-signed floater-framed print on canvas up to 40” x 72”. The biggest problem you’ll have is narrowing down which illustrations you want printed on your cards, prints and canvasses.
Can we use, print and publish your illustrations on our own?
Yes. When you hire me to illustrate your event, you receive a personal, non-exclusive license to reprint these illustrations in whatever manner and how often you like, so long as it is not for commercial gain. So turn your wedding illustrations into your own prints, cards, coffee mugs, social media posts and wedding videos to your heart’s content.
How long before we receive our illustrations, prints, canvases & cards?
Finished digital illustrations will be sent to you via DropBox within 2 to 3 weeks of your event. Depending on how soon you choose your images and print and canvas sizes, print and canvases are usually deliverable within 3 weeks from your selection. Cards are delivered within 2 to 3 weeks of your image selection(s).
Can you add an absent (deceased or living) person to your illustrations?
Maybe, maybe not. If you have good photos to work from, it’s possible I can incorporate deceased or absent loved ones into your illustrations. I can’t guarantee it but I’ll certainly try using your photos and see if they work in a composition.
Will you make illustrations from our (past or future) wedding photos?
Regretably, no. Your photographer owns the copyright to your wedding photographs and unless he or she is willing to give me a written license to transform and alter their photographs into illustrations for my own commercial gain, the answer, unfortunately, is no.
